James Kao : Thicket
From his not-so-secret garden, James Kao keenly observes, hidden in plain view like drawn rebuses.
Soft gray penciled compositions that blend, almost fade into his camouflaged world, a physical place under the stars with his head in the clouds. And what he sees become inner thoughts shared usually as whispered flora or quiet fauna, entangled to obscure nature while finding its hard visual truths. So he ventures into the known, out of the darkness back into the light without hesitation on the prowl of the beautiful.
A noble task the artist makes his sole mission to record, to ponder, and to question whether on paper or fabric.
